Ready, Set: Contemperary Tableware at Lilstreet Gallery

Juried by Heather Mae Erickson, Lillstreet’s 7th annual juried ceramics exhibition is dedicated to the art of setting the table. Nineteen ceramic artists representing thirteen states and three countries display unique place settings including dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, cups mugs, and more.

Participating Artists: Ashley Devitt, David Eichelberger & Elisa Di Feo, Jenny Gawronski, Rebecca Grant, Bianka Groves, Perry Haas, Margaret Haden, Todd Hayes, Justin Lambert, Shane McNutt, Nick Moen, Abigail Murray, Justin Rothshank, Albion Stafford, Natalie Steinmetz, David Swenson, Sandra Torres, Maria Volokhova

Serving as a backdrop to the exhibition are large-scale photographs by Stephen Hamilton. Because of his passion for food and wine, Hamilton has been shooting food and beverages exclusively for the past 15 years in his Chicago studio. His images garnered the attention of Bravo TV’s Top Chef and his work has been featured on nine seasons of the show. The photographs in “Ready, Set” are actual pieces that were used on the Top Chef set. Learn more at www.stephenhamilton.com.

Lillstreet is also proud to partner with the Rebuilding Exchange for this special exhibition. The talented crew at Rx Made creates unique, locally made furniture available for custom design, all using sustainable, locally sourced and salvaged materials. They will be creating custom tables made of reclaimed wood for Lillstreet Gallery to display the ceramic tableware featured in “Ready, Set: Contemporary Tableware”.
